No Tricks, Just Tips: A Halloween Guide for Kids with Autism

Halloween can be an exciting and overwhelming time for all children. For children on the autism spectrum, new costumes, loud decorations, unexpected sounds, and changes in routine can make the night especially tricky. This guide offers simple,
evidence-based strategies you can use at home, including visuals, role-playing ideas, and other quick tips to make the night a little less scary and a lot more fun.
You're also invited to join us for a sensory-friendly Trunk or Treating event on Wednesday, October 30th from 5–7 PM at Integrity Learning Center (1599 Township Line Rd, Plainfield, IN 46168). It's a great way to enjoy the Halloween spirit in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all kids and families. Costumes are welcome but not required we hope to see you there!
